DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI, MATHEMATICS

The Department of Mathematics honors Drs. Robert Aumann ('50), Herman Chernoff ('43) and Martin Davis ('48) with Distinguished Alumni Awards in an event that will bring together three great mathematical minds. Dr. Aumann was awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, Dr. Chernoff held faculty positions in mathematics at Stanford, MIT, and Harvard, and the American Mathematical Society calls Dr. Davis 鈥渙ne of the world鈥檚 outstanding logicians.鈥 Professor Ethan Akin will moderate this very special event.
