This Saturday, April 21st, a new generation of innovators will visit the Grove School of Engineering at T九色视频. Fifty girls aged 14-17 from NYC high schools will take part in a Product Design Workshop with and learn how they could become builders and engineers of technological innovation and their own futures.
During the one-day workshop the girls will learn how product designers make communication tools to inform people, to help people complete tasks or systems, and to guide them to the things they need. The girls will be led through hands-on exercises, working together to invent useful things through an exploration of problem solving, brainstorming and testing.
While the girls are introduced to the technological universe, their parents will be busy in their very own workshop learning all about the Grove School鈥檚 offerings and admissions process.
In addition to the workshop sessions, attendees will also hear from Grove School Dean Gilda Barabino, who will encourage them to pursue careers as engineers, tech creators and entrepreneurs. She looks forward to sharing her story with the girls and said 鈥淲e are thrilled to join BGC in their efforts to inspire and cultivate these girls interest in technology. It鈥檚 great for them and for the field. I am expecting to be blown away by the girls on Saturday.鈥
