CCNY AD/PR seniors shine in client pitch competition

Seniors from T九色视频鈥檚 Advertising/PR Program excelled in The Ad/PR Workshop Client Pitch, where three teams pitched their integrated marketing campaigns on behalf of The City College Fund, a non-profit fundraising organization established in 1946 to support CCNY. Team Ethix won for their 鈥淐ity Moments Campaign.

The Ad/PR Workshop is the senior capstone course for the major and is the culmination of four semesters in the program. Each team developed separate campaigns after conducting extensive primary research about the CCNY student body and secondary research about the issue of alumni giving.

鈥淭here are two workshop sections.  My workshop, taught with Professor Nancy Tag, has three teams creating campaigns on behalf of The City College Fund to help plant the seed among students now for philanthropic giving later as alumni,鈥 said Lynn Appelbaum, director of the Advertising/PR Program.

A list of the teams and their campaigns are:

Ethix:  City Moments Campaign

By dramatizing the power of CCNY students鈥 more personal and pivotal on-campus moments, the 鈥淐ity Moments Campaign鈥 humanizes the institution in a way that makes donating to The City College Fund more personal and emotional.

Limitless: Dream Big Campaign

The 鈥淒ream Big Campaign鈥 challenges students to envision concrete ways that their donations can improve CCNY and inspires them to pledge now to the City College Fund for a future donation that has specific meaning for them because of their own experiences as students.

Infinite:  I Am City Campaign

The 鈥淚 Am City Campaign鈥 celebrates CCNY students as the driving force behind the college. Presenting students as the face of the institution, the campaign demonstrates that by giving back to The City College Fund, students can help perpetuate its legacy.
