George Ranalli, dean of CCNY's Spitzer School of Architecture, has been named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
The 鈥 Jury of Fellows has elevated , dean of T九色视频鈥檚 Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, to its College of Fellows. Dean Ranalli and other 2015 fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the AIA Convention in Atlanta, Ga., May 15.
The Fellowship program was developed to recognize architects that have made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level, as well as achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Less than 4 % of AIA鈥檚 more than 85,000 members have been accorded this distinction.
A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Dean Ranalli has led City College鈥檚 Spitzer School since 1999.
He also heads the firm and has authored several books. His most recent publications are 鈥淪agrada Fam铆lia - Gaud铆's Unfinished Masterpiece: Geometry, Construction and Site鈥 (November 2014) and 鈥淚n Situ: George Ranalli - Works & Projects Hardcover鈥 ( September 2014), both from Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers Limited.
