Dr. Robert E. Paaswell, Distinguished Professor in T九色视频鈥檚 Grove School of Engineering, is one of eight experts selected to pick a winning design for a new .
The international panel of jurors, renowned for their expertise in fields such as transportation operations, urban planning, architecture and construction management, was announced by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It has launched a design contest to replace its aging midtown Manhattan bus terminal, the busiest such facility in the world by volume of traffic.
A civil engineer, Paaswell is one of the nation鈥檚 foremost authorities on transportation operations, management and planning.
He is Director Emeritus of the City College-based University Transportation Research Center, a federally funded center that provides research and training to transportation professionals. Paaswell directed UTRC from 1990 until October 2009 when he left to serve as the Interim President of CCNY.
He previously served as executive director of the Chicago Transit Authority.
