City College of New York Chemistry Professor Mahesh Lakshman
City College of New York Chemistry Professor Mahesh Lakshman is now a Fellow of the , the world鈥檚 leading community of scientists in that field. His induction is part of the society鈥檚 long legacy of advancing excellence in the chemical sciences.
Since his arrival at CCNY in 2000, Lakshman has continuously received notable accolades, including research grants from (, , ) and several awards. In addition, he has made significant contributions to research infrastructure development with external funding.
With over $3.5 million in grant awards, Lakshman continues to push boundaries as a published author, peer reviewer for major national and international journals and respected mentor receiving the CCNY Presidential S.T.A.R. award in 2011 and a CCNY Outstanding Mentor award in 2003-2004.
He was Visiting Professor at the well-respected in 2013 and in 2014 was a recipient of the prestigious and selective travel fellowship that took him to various universities in Japan.
