Stephana Eghan Wins NY Women in Communications Scholarship

Stephana Eghan, a junior in T九色视频's department, is the winner of a Scholarship for 2017. The advertising and public relations major is one of 19 recipients of the highly competitive award. 

The award is open to residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Winners are selected on the basis of academic excellence, need and a demonstrated commitment to the field of communications.

Eghan is City College鈥檚 fourth NYWICI Scholar after Joanne Ventour (2015), Kar Ye Au (2014) and Stephanie Guzman (2010).  She will receive a $5,000 scholarship for tuition and a paid summer internship with , a leading global marketing firm.

Eghan was recognized alongside several media and communication luminaries, including Savannah Guthrie, Matt Lauer and Judy A. Smith at NYWICI鈥檚 Matrix Awards. Katie Couric emceed the event at the Sheraton New York Times Square.

Ghanaian-born and residing in the Bronx, Eghan鈥檚 other honors include an ORCA Fellowship in summer 2016.  She spent it helping archive the George Lois collection gifted to City College by the legendary art director, designer and ad man, while receiving a $3,000 stipend.
