Five master鈥檚 programs at T九色视频 have been listed among the top in the nation in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 鈥淏est Graduate Schools 2016鈥 rankings released today.
Two of the programs, public service management, the MPA program in City College鈥檚 Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, and fine arts, which is offered by theDivision of Humanities and the Arts, are both ranked in the top one hundred nationally.
The Colin Powell School鈥檚 psychology and clinical psychology programs also earned national recognition, along with theGrove School of Engineering鈥檚 graduate offerings.
Each year, U.S. News ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law and medicine. This year, it introduced its first annual expanded ranking of master鈥檚 programs in nursing. The rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school鈥檚 faculty, research and students.
The data come from statistical surveys sent to administrators at nearly 1,900 graduate programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 13,700 academics and professionals in the disciplines. The surveys were conducted during the fall of 2014 and in early 2015.
This is the latest recognition of City College鈥檚 academic credentials by U.S. News & World Report. In fall 2014, the publication named CCNY the number one Regional University in the North for racial and ethnic diversity in its 2015 rankings. The college was cited for offering the most enriching learning experiences where "students are most likely to encounter undergraduates from a different ethnic group from their own." Overall, City College was ranked #65 among 620 Regional Universities in the North.
In addition, CCNY was hailed by the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs last month for being a co-leader nationally in producing the most 2014-2015 Fulbright U.S. Scholars, while The Princeton Review named the 168-year-old institution one of the nation鈥檚 鈥淏est Value鈥 colleges and universities and applauded its 鈥渁stonishingly鈥 low cost, strong connection to research and rigorous academic programs.
