, the best-selling New York Times author and Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, delivers the 2017 Samuel Rudin Distinguished Visiting Scholar Lecture at t��ɫ��Ƶ on Tuesday, March 7. His talk, 5:30 p.m. in Shepard Hall - Room 95, is entitled “From Broadway to the Beatles: Achieving the Impossible with Historical Mentors.” It is free and open to the public. A New York native, Tiwary’s graphic novel, “,” based on the untold life story of Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein, has won numerous awards.  They include the Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Reality-Based Work and two Harvey Awards, including Best Original Graphic Novel. It is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives’ Permanent Collection.

In addition, “The Fifth Beatle” is being adapted into a multi-part TV event series that has secured unprecedented access to Beatles music. Tiwary will be adapting his work for television and serving as executive producer. He is the founder of the multi-platform arts and entertainment company, Tiwary Entertainment Group.

On Broadway, Tiwary’s productions have won a combined 25 Tony Awards over 44 Tony nominations. They include Green Day’s “American Idiot,” “A Raisin in the Sun” and Mel Brooks’ “The Producers.”

Tiwary is a magna cum laude graduate of both the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences.
