"Featuring Student Life Through the Eyes of Those Living It"

The 2025 Inaugural Edition of the Frame Forward Student Video Festival celebrates students' experiences through the showcase of their unique voices and perspectives. This groundbreaking festival invites all CUNY students, regardless of major, to explore the art of storytelling through video and share their academic journeys and creative visions with the world.

Winners will be selected from the following submission categories:

• CCNY: For students from City College of New York (CCNY).
• CUNY: For all students from The City University of New York ().
  
  🏆  In addition to the above, a third honor emerges: BEST VIDEO, awarded to the video that most resonantly captures the edition’s theme, whatever its category or technique.
   
• Each winner will:
  • Have their video screened at the The Americas Film Festival of New York () in the summer of 2025.
  • Receive a trophy recognizing their achievement.
  • Receive a $200 gift card.

• Only the student who submits the video will be eligible to receive the prize. Prizes will be awarded at The Americas Film Festival of New York (TAFFNY)’s closing night ceremony.
