While eligibility for many national scholarships and fellowships is often restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents, some programs listed above are open to a wider range of applicants. International students and/or students with Deferred Action (DACA) are eligible for: Gaither Junior Fellows, DAAD RISE, Gates Cambridge, Humanity in Action, Public Policy Junior Summer Institutes, Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship, and NYC Urban Fellows. Students with DACA are also eligible for the Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, Hispanic Scholarships Fund, and Soros Fellowship for New Americans. The MIT Summer Research Program and Knight Hennessy Scholars program accept students regardless of citizenship status.
