Matthew Reilly, assistant professor of Anthropology, Gender Studies and International Studies in the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at T��ɫ��Ƶ, is a recipient of a grant from the National Geographic Society. City College of New York chemistry professor John R. Lombardi is the New York Society for Applied Spectroscopy 2019 Gold Medal winner. This award was established in 1952 to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of applied spectroscopy. He will receive the medal at a special award ceremony in Princeton, New Jersey, in November. The event will coincide with the society’s Eastern Analytical Symposium. Their presentations stemmed from research conducted at the Ocean Road Cancer Institute in Dar es Salaam—the only cancer treatment center in Tanzania. In a huge leap from last year, the physician assistant program at t��ɫ��Ƶ-based CUNY School of Medicine now ranks in the top 50 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools 2020” rankings released today.
