Guidance on Changes to Proposals, Sponsored Projects, & Awards
The CCNY Office of Research is monitoring changes in federal policies that affect university sponsored programs. We are communicating regularly with federal agencies, program officers, and national organizations to remain as informed as possible about directives that may impact proposal submissions, active awards, and reporting requirements. System-wide communications from the CUNY Chancellor or Office of Research can be found here:
If you receive any direct communications from a federal sponsor, please forward them to officeofresearch@ccny.cuny.edu to help us provide more effective support and guidance to you and other CCNY investigators who may be affected.
IMPORTANT If you receive a communication from any sponsor with a request to
(1) terminate or modify an existing award or (2) sign a certification of any kind, do not reply directly. Forward the communication to Ishita Mukerji, the Associate Provost for Research, at imukerji@ccny.cuny.edu . We will reach out with further guidance as soon as possible.
We will update our guidance as new information becomes available. Direct communications from federal agencies & sponsors supersedes the information shared below.

Award Compliance & Reporting
Changes in federal policy may introduce new or revised obligations that require prompt attention and implementation to maintain compliance.
Active Awards
Existing federal awards continue to operate under their current terms and conditions unless you receive a direct communication to the contrary. If you are issued a temporary stop-work order or notice of funding adjustments, etc., do not respond directly to the notice. Instead, immediately inform Ishita Mukerji, the CCNY Associate Provost for Research, at imukerji@ccny.cuny.edu to coordinate the appropriate response. Proactively monitoring and managing your award cannot anticipate every possible change but will help maintain compliance and, in doing so, mitigate disruptions.
