Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering Marco J. Castaldi of the Grove School of Engineering is a Fulbright Global Award winner for his continuing work on converting solid waste materials to energy, chemicals or fuels. Castaldi’s research involves transforming waste materials, such as biomass and municipal solid waste, to energy and chemicals. The residuals from that transformation, such as ash and char, are recycled into valuable products such as catalysts and adsorbents for energy and environmental applications. Such applications may be used to reduce emissions or to purify water. “This

Legendary art director, designer and ad man George Lois is gifting his archives to T��ɫ��Ƶ. Designated the "The George Lois Big Idea Archive," the collection comprises films, TV and radio commercials, print ads, posters, scripts, correspondences, photos, memorabilia and numerous other items from a remarkable career spanning more than 65 years. The archive will be open to the public and be available for educational and research purposes. Lisa S. Coico, Ph.D., president of T��ɫ��Ƶ, is the recipient of the 2016 Graduate School Distinguished Alumnus Award from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. A smart walker for seniors and an educational tool to help develop STEM skills are some of the creative venture ideas in T��ɫ��Ƶ’s 2016 Zahn Innovation Center Entrepreneurship competition.
